Our April Gift – CURE

We believe helping cure childhood cancer is so important. Today and everyday we want to be in the fight to raise awareness and help find a cure to end childhood cancer. We are excited to announce that your donations from the month of April are going to help heal the sick as we give to help those children with cancer and their families.

Did you know?

  • Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States.
  • Every year, more than 17,000 children in the United States and more than 300,000 worldwide are diagnosed with cancer.
  • Incidence rates are increasing every year.
  • In the last 25 years, only six drugs have been developed and approved specifically for children.
  • Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children.
We are not okay with these statistics and we want to work to see these numbers decrease as we help heal the sick. DollarFund is excited to partner with CURE Childhood Cancer, an amazing organization that works to help children with cancer. Since CURE’s beginnings in 1975, they have raised millions of dollars to advance promising research, lobbied for important legislation and provided tangible support to thousands of childhood cancer patients and their families. With CURE’s support, the childhood cancer research program at Emory continues to grow, becoming one of the largest pediatric oncology programs in the country.
While CURE was initially founded to conquer childhood cancer through research, the organization has evolved into much more today. Research remains a focus as evidenced by the fact that they have invested nearly $25 million in innovative research over the past ten years. CURE believes the research they fund today will lead to safer and more effective cures tomorrow. But they also see the need to provide support and help to patients who are fighting the disease today. To that end, CURE comes alongside families as a comforting presence from the day they are diagnosed and walk beside them until we are no longer needed. CURE’s programs address the physical, emotional, financial, and educational needs of families during treatment and beyond.
Because of your heart and your support of DollarFund, you are able to be apart of helping fund research to find a cure to end childhood cancer and you are helping families affected by childhood cancer. You are making a huge impact in the world to help heal the sick today and in the future. We want to see the shocking statistics of childhood cancer decrease, we don’t want any more children and families to be affected by this disease, we want to help heal the sick and see a cure for childhood cancer that helps put an end to amount of children with cancer.
