Our April Recipient – Samaritan’s Feet

Over 31% of the world’s population lives on an income of less than $2 per day. This fact indicates the inability of over 2.2 billion people to afford the basic necessities of life including food, housing, and clothing.

Our March Gift – Rice Bowls

Caring for and feeding the orphans makes Rice Bowls the perfect organization for DollarFund to partner with. Through your generous giving, two children’s homes will be fully fed for a full month. That’s two children’s homes that can focus on raising children, without the concern for where the next meal will come from because of YOU!

Charity Trends for 2018

Here at DollarFund, the focus has been the causes we’re working to eliminate. We’ve highlighted childhood cancer, clean water, hunger, trafficking, homelessness, and orphans. These issues have motivated us to do the work we do, which is not to solve them per se, but to support the organizations that do. We want to build both a community of givers AND doers. We hope to be a source of inspiration for our community and a helpful resource for the charities with which we partner. Below is a list of trends and expectations for charities in 2018.

Our February Gift – Pure Hope Foundation

Possibly our most appropriately named partner, Pure Hope has set their sights on combating human trafficking. We’ve posted before about the horrors of the thriving criminal industry (yes, industry. Millions of dollars are made every year). It is an exhibition of people at their worst, with horrendous results, but that hasn’t stopped Pure Hope from tackling head on what some people deem as “too sensitive”.

Where It All Starts

Taking a quick glimpse at the daily headlines might tell us that all hope is lost for the world. But it’s not. Not even close, and we have some stories to prove it. We live in a “bigger is better” world. TV’s, houses, cars, even cell phones seem to be growing in size,...

The Joy of Giving

It’s probably not a stretch to say that the thought of childhood cancer is devastating, even if you or your family have never been personally affected by it.   Now that the holiday and new year celebrations have passed, and we settle back into our regularly...
