Thank you to everyone who has donated and continues to be a part of DollarFund and working together to help solve the problems of the world. The donations from the month of September are going towards Hurricane Florence relief. We are proud to be partnering with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.

The mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is: No One Goes Hungry in Central & Eastern North Carolina. Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for over 35 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through distribution centers in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington.

Sadly, food insecurity remains a serious problem in central and eastern North Carolina. In these counties, more than 605,000 people struggle to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for a healthy life. When you add a hurricane or other natural disaster to the mix, so many more people that are affected by Florence are struggling with access to food due to the hurricane, flooding, destruction, and so much more.

With our donation of $1645 from the month of September, the Food Bank will be able to provide around 8,225 meals to the people in need of food in the Central and Eastern North Carolina area as well as providing disaster relief boxes. We are excited to partner with this organization to be able to give back and help those in the areas affected by the destruction and impact of Hurricane Florence!
