Water. It’s a necessity for a healthy, clean life. It’s something we have access to multiple places in our home. We never have to step outside (unless we’re watering the grass or plants) to get the water we need. And we certainly don’t have to walk miles with buckets and jugs to get the water we’ll need for the day.

When was the last time you had to worry about where to get clean water? Have you ever had to worry about your water supply? For most of us, water is something we take for granted in our day to day life. But for 663 million people around the world, access to clean water can’t be found.

Enter charity: water. Since its founding in 2006, charity: water and its supporters have funded clean water projects to over 8.2 million people globally. That’s 8.2 million people around the world who now have sustainable access to clean water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and bathing. Access to clean water for medical care. DollarFund is proud to partner with charity: water to rehabilitate a well in eastern Uganda, combining our April & May gifts with the gift we sent in January to total $10,000. This well, with a hand pump, will provide a sustainable clean water solution for approximately 250 people on an ongoing basis. That’s 250 people who will have water to drink, water to cook with and water to bathe with for a lifetime. That’s 250 people with clean water in their community, saving long walks carrying heavy jugs and pots, because you joined a movement.
